Introduction
Aluminium seamless guttering is now well established throughout
Europe and the British Isles, being used for domestic, commercial
and local authority properties. The system is for the specific collection
and discharge of rainwater from the roofs of houses, flats and garages.
Unlike plastic guttering, aluminium will not discolour, loose shape
or become brittle after a few years, it is an investment in low
maintenance costs for the future.
The Product
The aluminium, rust proof, gutter is available in attractive black
or white and boasts a pre-painted and baked factory finish. This
unique and long-lasting finish means that no maintenance is required.
As the guttering is manufactured from a coil, on site, each length
is made to precise measurements to fit your property. This ensures
that joints are consistently accurate and the risk of leakage is
eliminated after the mitre plates are fitted and sealed. The fitting
of gutters to fascias uses internal hangers that are concealed and
are placed approximately 60 centimetres apart, this guarantees that
there are no unsightly brackets visible. The guttering in manufactured,
in a traditional ogee format, the high capacity section is substantial
enough to effect clearance of the heaviest rainfalls experienced.
Down-pipe outlets are punched into the gutter at the specific points
required. A leaf trap is inserted and sealed into the gutter which
is finally connected to the downpipe.
The trap will ensure no blockage in either the downpipe or the
soakaway, this simple object can save expensive, disruptive and
inconvenient groundwork. Downpipes of your choice are available
ranging from standard PVC to hard wearing aluminium. If the condition
of your existing pipes is adequate they may be retained. In addition
to the trap, leaf guards are recommended for locations where trees
overhang. This guard is an optional extra that may be fitted in
areas most at risk.
Durability
The aluminium seamless gutter and the baked finish has a life expectancy
of over thirty years. The guttering has been proven to withstand
extreme weather conditions, from long hot summers to harsh winters,
and as the product is designed for minimum expansion and contraction
the chance of leaking or damage to joints is eradicated. The gutter
is also significantly stronger than PVC and will easily support
the weight of heavy snow. Unlike plastic guttering, aluminium will
not discolour, loose shape or become brittle after a few years,
it is an investment in low maintenance costs for the future.
To support our confidence in this product, our company offers you
a comprehensive written guarantee to cover the first five years
of life against either workmanship and material faults that may
occur
